The highly anticipated Customer Acquisition Conference, organized by Workforce Group in partnership with the Fintech Association of Nigeria, took place on Thursday, July 20, 2023. The event was a resounding success, bringing together industry leaders, tech startups, seasoned entrepreneurs, and experts from the fintech sector to explore innovative strategies for customer acquisition and business growth in the digital-first era.

 

The conference aimed to address the challenges faced by tech startups in acquiring and retaining customers, offering valuable insights, proven techniques, and success stories to help businesses stay ahead in a competitive market.

 

The Customer acquisition conference showcased the crucial role of a well-defined and pragmatic customer acquisition strategy for sustained growth, profitability, and success in the tech industry. It highlighted the need for startups to remodel their customer acquisition and retention approaches to create a solid foothold in the ever-evolving market.

 

The event provided a transformative and engaging learning experience, featuring five hours of insightful discussions, keynote addresses, interactive feedback sessions, and networking opportunities.

 

The keynote address by Dr. Babatunde Obrimah, COO of the Fintech Association of Nigeria centered around the macro economy, providing an industry overview and context for the tech sector. He highlighted specific challenges and opportunities confronting the industry, shedding light on the effects of government policies on fuel subsidy removal, exchange rate convergence, and electricity bills.

 

The conference featured two-panel sessions with industry experts sharing their valuable insights and experiences. The CEOs’ Session emphasized the significance of a customer-centric approach in the Fintech industry. Discussions revolved around earning customers’ trust, breaking down user populations for targeted products, and prioritizing customer acquisition and retention.
