The day one of the South East CyberSecurity Conference and Exhibition was filled with electrifying pomp, delight and ecstasy, served in a well appreciated environment.
From the singing of Nigeria’s national anthem to the closing speech, the first day proved a boon for attendees, enlightening the eyes of their minds and arming them with knowledge for eventual threats.
CyberDome started day two with a presentation, outlining the kinds of data breaches:
* Insider Threats
* Outsider Threats
* Imminent Threat
Making the presentation for CyberDome was Mr Emmanuel Olaniyi who revealed to the audience the efforts unethical hackers and fraudsters put into making sure they take advantage of their victims. The atmosphere got more techy as participants asked questions relating to the ambiguity of cyber security and everything in it.
Olaniyi ended his presentation by offering solutions to the issue at hand especially what CyberDome as a security company can do.
Next up on day was a panel session anchored by Ifeoma Melody, an OAP from Solid FM Enugu. The panel consisted of

* Emmanuel Olaniyi – CyberDome
* Chima Agbafor – Co-founder, Ugarsoft
The talking points spanned from Blockchain Technology to Human Rights and (Cyber)Security; each pundit, an expert in his own field.
The International Business Machines (IBM) introduced the audience to over seventy free technology courses on its network, allowing Africans to catch-up with the world in terms of technology.
The advisor from Tech Hive, Oloyede Ridwan carried the audience in the knowledge of Online Harm and Human Rights. He talked about how untrue “End-to-end encryption” of some social media firms, stating that they still pry into the conversations of users. He gave a call to action to users of the internet to take steps to combat cyber crime and not be “too religious.”
At the end of the day two, an interview was held with the organizer, Mr Joshua Chibuike,
he mentioned that each edition of SECYCONE will be held in October to commemorate with the world’s Cyber Security month.
