Peexoo, a tech-based photography platform, has signed a partnership deal with equipment producer, Canon, to expand opportunities in leveraging artificial intelligence technology to support the photographer sector.
While making the partnership deal announcement, Peexoo, the photography start-up leveraging artificial intelligence technology stated it will support photographers and help upscale their businesses by connecting them to clients.
The photography start-up further stated its will serves as a platform for its community to have access to Canon’s technologies, enjoy free classes, purchase equipment seamlessly and also a platform for them to archive their work and display them for potential clients.
Speaking at the ceremony of the partnership in Lagos, Peexoo Co-founder, Wande Adams, said disrupting the photography space with technology cannot be done without recognising the work that Canon has done in the past.
Adams, therefore said the partnership is to be able to create more opportunities for the photographers on their platform.
He thereafter said that joining forces with Canon and leveraging the amount of its experience will enable them to run master classes for African photographers to learn from the past experiences of other photographers.
The co-founder further added that this partnership will bring international facilitators to train the master class and also opens the door for photographers in African community to be able to access opportunities globally.
However, another Peexoo Co-founder, Steve Nwadike, said the firm will partner with banks for loans so that photographers can buy equipment and pay on installments.
Meanwhile, Canon’s Country Manager, Omotayo Omodia, described the partnership as exciting and explained that Canon chose Peexoo because its vision resonates with their corporate belief and goals.
Omodia further said that Peexoo is creating a platform where photographers can not only drop their content but also make money by meeting potential clients.
