Nigerian FinTech company, Equiti Targets 3 Million Nigerians For Financial Literacy Training

A financial technology company, Equiti has sought to improve the level of financial literacy among Nigerians.

The initiative, the company said is borne out of the desire to make Nigerians privy to the numerous potentials available in online trading.

Speaking to newsmen in Lagos, Equiti Country Manager, Emmanuel Okwara said that the company is also seeking to provide a platform for easier adoption of online trading by Nigerians.

Okwara said that by providing free training to 3 million Nigerians on online trading, beneficiaries would be able to make good use of the opportunities available to them in that aspect of the financial sector.

Okwara, who noted that a gap exists between Nigerians and their counterparts in other African countries, called for the support of the Government as well as the private sector in this regard.
