A new report by ‘CoinGecko’ has identified Nigeria and the UAE as housing the most cryptocurrency enthusiasts in the world.
This, the report said is since the market crashed recently this year.
The report examined data from Google Trends of search items frequently used by Internet users that are interested in cryptocurrency.
According to an analysis of the report by “Zawya”, The terms were then combined to give each English-speaking country a “total search score” to find out which locations have been the most interested in cryptocurrency since the market collapsed in April 2022.
Nigeria topped the list with a total search score of 371, with words such as “buy crypto”, “cryptocurrency” and “invest in crypto” topping the list.
“Solana” was the third most-searched cryptocurrency worldwide.
A total search score of 270 was recorded for the UAE, where the tracker observed that residents were searching for keywords such as “cryptocurrency” and “invest in crypto”.
