Dash Nigeria in collaboration with Boundless pay platform has earlier planned an event at the Venla business hub, Lagos. The event tagged “The unbanked: a remittance and international payment evolution” and scheduled to take place on 3 April 2020 has been postponed due to the unexpected outbreak of the COVID-19 in the country.
A statement was released by the organizing bodies in this regard,
“Due to the global spread of novel COVID-19 Virus, and after discussions and deliberation with our partners and entire management team, we regret to announce the postponement of our forthcoming event on payments and remittance due to take place from on 3rd April 2020 at Venus business Hub.
“The postponement is due to the developing COVID-19 outbreak which has led to restrictions of events and meetups with more than 20 persons by the Lagos state government and we had to take this painful decision because no matter how prepared we were and the safety precautions we had planned to take, the well-being of our audience, partners, staff and all involved remains our paramount concern. A new date will be communicated to you as we monitor the situation.”
“We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused by this decision and we appreciate each and everyone for your cooperation.”
Note that the new date of the event will be communicated soon.
