Yesterday, history was made as Coinnewsextra, a blockchain, cryptocurrencies, fintech and emerging techs media platform whose headquarter is situated at Lagos State Nigeria, the Western part of Africa launched the first ever 24/7 live broadcasting TV App: CNE TV .
The Anchor, Mr Chike Okonkwo kick started the launch at exactly 12pm at Abiitos House Lekki-Epe Road, Sangotedo with an opening prayer from Pastor Samuel Ekomanna, the lead pastor of Word Impact International. Mr Chike went further to welcome the Blockchain and FinTech stakeholders present and gave the platform for them to speak.
Chief Operating Officer of FinTech Association of Nigeria, Dr Babatunde Obrimah said
“the next thing for Nigeria is to go digital. Digitalization will curb corruption”
The Founder of Blockchain Nigeria User Group, Mr Chuta Chimezie who was present online said “Blockchain and Crypto assests presents a huge opportunity in Nigeria and Africa”. He went further to say
“the ocean of wealth is a thing everywhere that needs encouragement”.
He spoke about CNE TV being a laudable initiative and a promised child that has lived up to expectation.
The President of Stakekholders in Blockchain Technology Association of Nigeria, Barrister Senator Iyere Ihenyen said ” Blockchain is the second generation of internet and that we are in a stage where we need to innovate or we die”.
The Former Chairman of Stakekholders in Blockchain Technology Association of Nigeria, Mr Paul Ezeafulukwe said “as the world is changing due to technology we must put our public sector in Blockchain Technology”. Mr Paul went further to talk about the bidding of the three prestigious artworks (Nelson Mandela portrait, Nnamdi Azikwe portrait and a portrait on Egyptian civilization) on Non-fungible Token (NFT). He joined the bidding for Nnamdi Azikwe NFT.
The author of Bitcoin Generation, Professor H.C Jorge Molt joined the launch from Germany. He said “freedom is about money, freedom is about regulations.The lack of education and knowledge is not powering freedom and the fuel of freedom. It is necessary that we stay in freedom; that people know how to use and work with cryptocurrencies in daily life and to keep the economy running. He went further to say “it is a big step launching the CNE TV broadcasting app, which will give report about what is happening in the crypto space.
CNE TV App was unveiled by Mr Paul Ezeafulukwe, Dr Babatunde Obrimah, Mr Chuta Chimezie and Senator Ihenyen. The CEO of CNE TV, Mr Lee Ucheoma Ohaeri said the App will be kick of test run next week Friday, 23rd of April, 2021.
At the close of the launch, Mr Lee Ucheoma Ohaeri thanked everyone that were present physically and online. He said that the Non-fungible Token bidding will be on till Sunday night and that parts of the money from the bids will go to charity. He said Non-fungible Token certificate will be given to all the Blockchain and FinTech stakeholders that were in attendance.
