China Now Educates People on Blockchain

Following President Xi Jinping’s endorsement speech on blockchain technology, news relating to blockchain has been extensively covered on national TV channels, newspapers and websites in China.

Xuexi Qiangguo a Chinese app primarily designed to teach “Xi Jinping Thought” (the political theory derived from Chinese President and China’s Communist Party General Secretary Xi Jinping), has
recommended a course focusing on blockchain and bitcoin. According to reports, Xuexi Qiangguo has more than 100 million active users as of October.

Designed by Alibaba Group and released by the CPC’s publicity department in January, Xuexi Qiangguo is also the most downloaded app on Apple’s domestic app store.

The recommended course is titled “Introduction to Blockchain Technology,” and is taught by an associate researcher at Tsinghua University’s Blockchain Research Center, Chen Kang, .
