Payment Service Provider, Remita Payment Services Limited (RPSL), has emerged as the Payment Service Provider of the year.
The award was given by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) during the recent Anniversary of Nigeria’s Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC).
Commenting on the development, the managing director of Remita Payment Services Limited (RPSL), Deremi Atanda said that the recognition is in line with the firm’s efforts at driving financial inclusion and simplifying payments for customers.
“It has always been our approach to focus on working tirelessly to simplify payments and drive financial inclusion by deploying top-notch solutions. Our fulfillment comes primarily from the satisfaction our various consumers derive from using our superior solutions. However, when we receive recognitions such as this from the country’s apex regulatory body, we are even further encouraged to deliver more,” Atanda said.
Also speaking, RPSL’s chief technology officer, Mujib Ishola expressed elation at the recognition.
“On behalf of the management and staff of Remita Payment Services Limited, we are honored to receive such an important award for our advancement of payment solutions in the country. This will propel us to greater performance even as we reinstate our commitment to impact and national development,” Mujib said.
Recently, RPSL’s subsidiary firm, SystemSpecs was recognized as the “Indigenous Technology Promotion – Software” at the just concluded annual national award ceremony of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA).
This recognition was for its exemplary commitment to the development of homegrown technologies to address local challenges.
