Bitcoin Comes to The Rescue Of Nigerian Protesters As Bank Account Gets Deactivated

 

Feminist Coalition, a group of Nigerian Feminists fighting against the injustice of SARS through Peaceful protest, Fundraising and Soical media organization claims that their bank account for receiving donations has been deactivated.

The statement on Twitter reads ” for demanding an end to police brutality, we are now under attack! Our bank account has been deactivated and so has the flutter wave donation link. Our members lives are also been threatend . #SARSMUSTEND.

It would be recalled that young Nigerians around the world since last week took to social media and street to protest the killings and brutality of a unit of Nigerian police force Special anti Robbery Squad, popularly known as SARS against the Nigerian youths.

The group is now accepting Bitcoin as means of receiving donations.

This is another way Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are gaining attraction and adoption. The Bitcoin Wallet of the group has been receiving donations.
